PAS Youth today questioned the calls by certain quarters to do
away with vernacular Chinese and Tamil schools in order to achieve
racial harmony, saying racial tensions were the work of politicians and
not the educational institutions.
"Racial problems in this
country have repeatedly surfaced due to the existence of race-based
political parties such as UMNO, MCA and MIC.
"These are the parties which the ROS [Registrar of Societies] should ban," said PAS Youth chief Nasrudin Hassan.
He said unlike political parties which shun certain communities, the
vernacular schools including privately-funded Islamic schools were open
to all races.
"Such is not the case with the membership rule in
UMNO, MCA and MIC, which limits to certain communities. Every year in
their general assemblies, these parties would raise demands specific to
their respective ethnic group and (in the process) hurt sensitivities of
others," added Nasrudin, who is also member of parliament for Temerloh.

Why so many people are pissed off by SPR (Suruhanjaya Penipu Rakyat)
In more than many ways Election Commision (SPR) failed to impressed the people of Malaysia. Let us see how they should have conducted themselves before, during and after election?. Did they exhibit any qualities that come near these :
- Acting with integrity: 'I will conduct myself in such a way that my speech and acts are honest and trustworthy, able to nurture a culture of truth and reliability;'
- Being incorruptible: 'I will not accept any financial or other obligation to individuals or organizations which could lead me to act unethically in my duties and responsibilities;'
- Acting impartially: 'In carrying out my duties, including
making appointments, awarding contracts, grants, or recommending
individuals for benefits, I will make fair choices which do not unduly
or unjustly favour those with whom I have other ties;
- Being transparent: 'I will be transparent in my decisions and actions and will not withhold information which is in the public interest;' and,
- Being accountable: 'I recognize that I am accountable for my decisions and actions and will submit to whatever scrutiny is appropriate.' Or have they been witnessed being these :
- upholding the constitution and abiding by the legal framework, its rules and regulations;
- neutral and professional conduct in fulfilling the duties of office, including not providing any preferential treatment or wearing or displaying any political party logos, symbols or colours;
- not discriminating against anyone because of race, color, religion, class, sex, national origin, age or handicap;
- hiring and promotion based on professional skills, not because of personal or political affiliations;
- use of public office facilities and position to fulfill the terms of office, not for personal or partisan benefit. This usually includes office time, personnel, facilities and equipment;
- not pressuring or intimidating other officials or personnel to favour a certain candidate or for them to misuse their offices or facilities;
- avoiding conflict of interests, or the perception of conflict of interests, by abstaining from decision making if there is a personal or private interest in the matter;
- disclosing financial information, if required by law, on a regular basis; including salary,
- directorships held, honorariums paid and other sources of income; and
- disclosing waste, fraud, abuse and corruption to the appropriate authorities. .
not accepting anything of value (money, offers of employment, gifts, travel, etc) in exchange for preferential treatment or access to a public official or nonpublic information;

BN; Creating Unrest
Again Mahathir and Najib stirred the hornets nest by inciting racial tension between the Malays and Chinese. But the rebute they got for this is simply unprecedented as barrage of criticisms were thrown at them in the electronic media.
True to UMNO and BN colours, they quick to use the racial card to deflect the people's concern about cheating and rigging during the 13th GE.
It beginning to look like BN's trusted modes operandi, when they are cornered with an issue..they deflect it with some sensitive issues without even explaining it.This time around..they have a mountain to climb to deny the allegations.
In the modern age of communication..the alleged frauds were well documented. and thats what UMNO/ BN is trying to stop from spreading.
Remember Bersih..2.0. Thats exactly what they will do. Deny..deny and keep denying untill the next election is due.

Trouble Ahead For Najib
And when he thought he had weathered the worst for the election;
his nightmare is far from over. Who needs enemy when one has friends like Tun Mahathir.
Trouble is seen brewing in the horrizon when the sly old political witch Tun Mahathir ; stated "I didn't expect Najib to do worse than Pak Lah". Check here http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/229424
That seemingly harmless comment actually send chilling tremors in UMNO land. The warlords are awaken, warriors are shaken, the admirals are alarmed and above all, Queen Rosmah is terrified.
Is Mahathir preparing for another "Mahathir Spring" that he did for the "Sleeping Beauty" Abdullah Badawi? Just before the polls Dr.M warned Najib that he might need to go if he fared badly in the GE. Now exactly that was what Najib did. His performance is the worse ever by a PM when BN lost the popular vote for the first time in history.
Lets wait and see whats next for BN and UMNO..its exciting times indeed.
